Why should it be impossible? As you can see, this is a balloon air race on the internet. The first balloons are already on their journey.

You can now become a part of our balloon air race - set your own balloon free, take those from other people and help them spread the world, give us the locations of balloons you found or just look at all the things happening here.

How to get started?

You want to take part? Take the balloon you can see on the right side and label it with your name, location - as bloggers/webmasters have 2 locations, please also write both locations on the image - so your real location and the name of your website - that's just to be found by searchengines, if people who do not know our air race find your balloon. Your labelled balloon has to be put on your website or your blog to be set free - other people have to take your balloon, so give a hint what this picture is about and that they are supposed to help the balloon fly. You also can insert a link to the blog post where it all started.

You only want to support someone? Then take their balloon, put it on your website and tell your visitors to do the same. Please leave a message, that you found a balloon, so I can check the distance of the balloon flight.

Fly, ballon, fly!

On September first the race ends and I will check which balloon has gone on the farthest journey - the winner will get a package of balloons to start a real air race soon.

Important things to know

Balloons you found have to be placed on your website, so they can travel further - you can use the little images on the "Ballons" page.

The distance I will detect is the one between your location and the the location where it was found - if there are more places of discovery only the greatest distance counts in the end. As balloons fly across country the air-line distance will be measured by using map24.de (I hope this will work for oversea also ...)

As not everyone has an imprint, I can only scale by using the name of the town - in a case of balloon A has covered a distance of 150 km and balloon B has covered a distance of 300 km or less, I will ask for your address and check the exact distance (every difference within 150 km will be checked).

You will also win something, if you just supported a balloon - the one who found the winning balloon will get one package of ballons and the owner of this balloon will get two packages.
